Due to the ongoing lockdown, it has become difficult for us to order our favourite food online. But people have thought of a way to get through it by preparing these food items in the safety of their homes! Many Zee Marathi celebrities like Madhav Abhyankar and Abhijeet Khandkekar are using their free time to experiment with various dishes. It is also the season to indulge in the most loved Maharashtrian food- aamras, bhaat and amti. But these are incomplete without sajuk tup, right? Don’t worry as Dhanashri Kadgaonkar is here to save the day! She teaches her fans how to make the ghee with these simple and easy steps.
Watch Dhanashri’s performance as ‘Vahini Saheb’ in Tuzhat Jeev Rangala.
The Tuzhat Jeev Rangala actress has been well-appreciated for her performance as the antagonist Nandita in the show. She has also stunned viewers with her dance acts in Zee Yuva’s dance reality show Yuva Dancing Queen. But aside from being a talented actress and dancer, Dhanashri is also an expert cook! You can get a sneak peek of her culinary skills in this video below. The actress takes the viewers through a step-by-step guide to prepare sajuk tup. Watch here.
The recipe shared by the actress is the following:
1. Take the malai or saay that gathers on top of milk like a thick sheet and keep collecting it for around 7 days.
2. Refrigerate the saay and then add water to it to transform it into taak (curd milk).
3. This taak should be churned well to form loni (white butter). Make sure a thick loni forms out of the taak so that the tup or ghee formed is uniformly grainy which adds to the taste.
4. Heat this loni for a while on a slow flame as the ghee forms out of it. Make sure you let it cool down before storing it in a can.
Now that you can make some delicious homemade ghee or sajuk tup, are you ready to prepare a sumptuous lunch for your loved ones?
