We list down 5 common things that happen in engineering colleges, that all students in this field can relate to. We start the list with the fact that most engineering colleges have more boys and lesser girls. So while the ladies have enough eye candy to thrive on, the same isn’t the case with the men. Right boys?

2. Getting KT

‘KT’ is a common term that you’ll come across in engineering colleges. It’s full form is Allowed To Keep Terms (ATKT), which is a system of holding back students from proceeding to the next grade, if they have failed in 1 out of 4 subjects. And almost everyone in engineering colleges, barring the nerds, get a KT! Are we right, or are we right?

3. Getting ragged

Though some colleges are strictly against the practice and have even banned it, in most engineering colleges, ragging is found commonly. It’s where seniors give their juniors a bunch of silly tasks to perform. Ragging is harmless as long as it’s carried out within limits and doesn’t affect a student physically or emotionally in any way.

4. Studying till the wee hours of the morning

Though students from all fields pull off all nighters, the practice is more widespread in engineering colleges given how tough and technical the subjects are. Are you a part of the club too?

5. Being terrified of parents

The pressure to perform well is particularly high in the engineering field, given the fierce competition. Many parents wish for their children to pursue engineering and score well. As a result, many students end up being terrified of their parents and come under pressure to please them. Such is the case with Amol too, who takes up engineering, only on his father’s demands.
