In the stresses of daily life and in a bid to catch up with time, we often forget our purpose and who we are. Sonalee Kulkarni’s character Isha too battles this feeling in Prakash Kunte’s Hampi. She travels all the way to the ancient village in the south of Karnataka, to find answers to several questions that have been haunting her. This film stands out primarily for its modern appeal. For a change, we see the characters in a more millennial setting, which makes Hampi relatable, especially to the youth.

Here are five reasons why you should definitely give this film a shot.
1. The cast
Hampi features Sonalee in a lead role, followed by popular names such as Lalit Prabhakar and Priyadarshan Jadhav. Lalit plays Kabir, a free-spirited man that Isha meets and gets inspired from. Priyadarshan on the other hand plays Isha’s guide in the film and adds a humorous element to the narrative. Each of the cast members play unique characters and do justice to their roles with stellar performances.
2. Sonalee’s unique avatar
The light- eyed beauty is best- known for her act in Natrang and her hit song Apsara Ali. Sonalee has been known for her oomph factor in most films but with Isha, she breaks away from this tag. The actress is a girl-next-door in Hampi, who is instantly endearing and likeable for her soft-spoken nature. With her huge glasses and boy-cut hairdo, fans will get to see Sonalee in a unique and refreshing avatar.
3. The story
Going on a trip can often be a soul-changing experience. Some discover themselves while some come back rejuvenated, ready to hit the ground running. Isha’s journey is relatable as well as engrossing. It hits so close to home that at one point, you start believing that her story is yours.
4. A trip yo Hampi
For those who have been dying to go to Hampi but haven’t had a chance to, this film will give you a virtual tour of the place. The visuals are so appealing that you would feel like you are in the village and not watching it on the big screen. Hampi is a reminder of the gorgeous place that it is.
5. An important message
The message that fans will take away from the film is that one shouldn’t take life too seriously. We often forget to live life to the fullest and have fun. Through Kabir’s character, we are reminded that we all have one life that is meant to be lived like there’s no tomorrow.
