Staying true to its hefty name, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s show Toofan Alaya reached rural and urban areas successfully. The show discusses the Water Cup initiative taken by Paani Foundation to help villages resolve the shortage of water. This will be the fourth year for this initiative. The consequences of lack of job opportunities in rural areas were separation of families. Children used to come to the cities to earn leaving their parents behind, while the adults left the families in a search of job opportunities to support their families.
Now, the Water Cup initiative take by Aamir Khan’s Paani Foundation has helped the rural regions flourish. This initiative is taken for an abundant supply of water for the fields to bloom, thereby stopping the separation of families.
2. Hardeek Joshi and Akshaya Deodhar's participation
The famous couple, Rana and Anjali of Tuzhat Jeev Rangala, took Water Cup 2019 initiative upon themselves as they visited drought-affected villages of Maharashtra. Along with this, the onscreen couple celebrated Water Cup’s fourth birthday in the rural area by cutting the cake and digging the ground along with people.
